Amatuer radio page:
I've been busy for the last year due to me taking over as a canine officer for the sheriff's office, but am looking forward to playing with the radios again. I am also in the process of renovating my shack, so it's all torn up. Oh well, gotta make a little mess to make improvements. I'll put some pictures in when done. Better get to work, so I'll continue later.
73,
Don

My main rig that I'm using for HF is a Kenwood TS-820S (pictured below)that I picked up real cheap a number of years ago. Had it checked out a couple of months ago, and was told it's working very well. I also have two 2 meter band radios. One is an old Ten-ham with VFO, and the other is a Radio Shack 212. The old Ten-ham only puts out a little over 12 watts, but it's fun to see how far I can get out. The Radio Shack puts out about 45 watts. I plan on using it with packet eventually. I also have a 2 meter HT from Radio Shack, and also a 440 HT from the same. Not a lot, but enough to have fun.

My Antennas
I currently have four different antennas set up. I have a multiband discone that I use primarily for monitoring 2 meter bands. I also have a Cushcraft AR-2 that I use for 2 meter when I'm trying to make contacts. I have a Solarcon AR-99 that is set up for 10 meter, and a dipole set up for 15 and 40 meter. It's all nothing real fancy, but, it'll work till I get a tower set up. And now, I have a tower. I'm going to be putting it up real soon. It's 59 feet tall, and it's my first tower. I'm pretty excited about getting it up. I'll post a picture as soon as I get it put up.
