Kennard Fire & Rescue Department

I am no longer a member of the Kennard Vol. Fire & rescue Department.I recently resigned due to what I feel are important enough reasons to do so. I have put in over 13 years in the emergency services and would like to continue, but until certain issues are addressed, I feel this is the best solution at this time.
I have been an Emergency Medical Technician for a little over 13 years now, and during that time have also been a firefighter. I recently moved from Arlington Nebraska to Kennard in which I joined on the Kennard Fire & Rescue department. I quit in November of 2002. I think the department has a lot of potential, in which I want to help in any way possible. I have also volunteered to head up a car show as a fund raiser for the department. The date is set for the first Sunday in May, so if you're in the area, stop by. Good times will be had by all.

This car belongs to my baby brother. He's proud of it and rightly so. We had 62 cars for our first show, but we felt pretty good considering the weather forecast for the week. We had thunderstorms all week, even the night before, and the silly weathermen were saying it was going to rain on our show. BUT, we held out, 15 minutes after 7 in the morning the rain stopped, cars started to show, and it didn't rain until about 5 that night, well after the show. Some say it was luck, I know it was skill though!
